Is Awesome Maps free?
Yes! Open Hiking Map coverage is completely free worldwide. Premium country maps (Ordnance Survey, USGS, IGN, etc.) are available with optional subscription.
Do I need a companion app on my phone?
No. The app works standalone. Just connect your Garmin to your phone with the ConnectIQ app for map streaming.
What if I have blank areas on the map?
Network interruptions during download can cause missing tiles. From the app settings, select "Clear Map Cache" to refresh.
How do I manage my subscription?
From the Awesome Maps menu on your device, select "License..." to see options and manage your subscription. Use the payment confirmation link to manage your payment anytime.
How do I get maps on my watch?
Download from the Connect IQ app on your phone. Two versions available: Home screen widget or activity datafield.
